Gap and lateral position detector for magnetically suspended vehicles (IM-EDYN-010)

Last updated on 02 August 2013 3:18
In the "ferromagnetic attraction" type of magnetic suspension system, stable operation is obtained by feeding back a signal derived from the gap between magnet poles and rail to control the current through the support magnet windings. To avoid wear and problems of mechanical maintenance, a contactless gap transducer is preferred.
