The PVC insulation as used in DEF-61-12 cables is considered under the following headings :- Types of PVC Electrical Properties Abrasion Resistance High Temperature Properties Low Temperature Properties Resistance to Chemical Attack Fire Hazard It is concluded that PVC is suitable.
