Relationship Between Track Geometry Disturbances and the Development of Rolling Contact Fatigue Damage

This paper addresses the approach and results of the analysis of RCF inspection data vs. track geometry analysis and highlights possible improvement of best practice in track geometry maintenance. A unique RCF inspection database has been directly linked to a track geometry database, both covering the total Dutch network.
