A study of the track maintenance and change of track condition after tilting car introduction in Shikoku Railway Company

To reduce time in reaching main cities, JR Shikoku tries to improve the max. speeds and curve passing speeds by installing new type tilting cars at main lines. Generally, on the car running along a curve section, the lateral force and lateral vibration increase as the running speed increases.
