The 'frame-sleeper-track' - an innovative ballasted railway track

Last updated on 20 September 2013 3:55
Double H-shaped prestressed concrete elements, placed side-by-side, elastically coated on the bottom as sleeperage for continuously welded rail with elastic fasteners, situated at the edges of the elements adapt the ballasted track to higher axle-loads and speeds of modern railways, simultaneously reducing the ballast-pressure and the stress-gradients in the ballast-bed.
