Interoperability and free access to infrastructure makes scheduled time track respect a critical topic. On the other side, freight operators need to increase composition of the trains so locomotives must be capable of higher effort. If traction effort overcomes adhesion limit of the wheel-rail contact, then wheel slipping phenomena appear.
