A new traction control method for energy saving

Railway transportation, especially electric railway system, is environment friendly transportation system thanks to the lower friction between rails and wheels, the higher energy conversion efficiency and the availability of regenerative brake. However, there are still energy conversion losses in the traction equipments, for instance, traction power converters and traction motors.
