The vibrational environment of the rail, sleeper & rallast (TM-SM-008)

The object of the measurements was to give an initial assessment of the vertical and lateral accelerations in the track structure under traffic. To do this accelerometers were placed in the ballast and on the rail and sleeper and recordings made under service traffic. This report outlines the preliminary findings.
