Instrumentation for A.P.T. buffer tests at safety in mines research establishment, (S.M.R.E.) Buxton (IM-IS-058)

The work was carried out for the Structural Development Section who are investigating the performance of a hydraulic buffer for use on the A.P.T. The objectives of the test were to measure the load transmitted by the buffer, and its stroke on impact.
