Preliminary design loads for all magnetic vehicles from externally applied forces (TN-TSN-045)

Preliminary magnet loads are given for a small range of design cases. Appendix A gives some indication of Shear force/Applied force ratio. Estimates are based on the most up-to-date information available at the time of this work.
