Gate level and fatigue damage calculations (IM-FM-009)

A recent meeting of the Fracture Mechanics Section drew attention to the importance of the level at which an original signal is gated when estimating fatigue damage This note demonstrates the extent to which fatigue damage summations are significantly dependent on the gate level used in the cycle counting process.
