Relationship between A.P.T. fuel capacity and refuelling requirements (IM-SYS-039)

Notional A.P. Train set workings for a complete East Coast Main line service are examined to discover where refuelling would be necessary during station turn rounds. The reduction in station refuelling provision effected by increasing the fuel range of the train is shown.
