Safety review of a man-machine interface: Pedestrians crossing light rail alignments

Level crossings are widely-used elements of Light Rail infrastructure, allowing pedestrians and other traffic to cross the line at grade. Operators undertake considerable effort to make them safe. Accidents, however, still occur. Since more than 30 years, SSB has been improving the level of safety at its level crossings continually.
