Preliminary assessment of hydro kinetic brake control by static tests (IM-PS-059)

Before using the system of a H.K.B. and auxiliary friction brake as a complete unit, two checks have to be undertaken on the control equipment under static conditions. These 'gain' tests are:- 1) A plot of reservoir air pressure against braking demand signal for a range of weight signals.
