Discussions across the Division on prototype configurations for A.P.T. culminated in B.L. King's proposals for building trains with performance capabilities from 130 km/h (80 mile/h) to 300 km/h (188 mile/h) using 4 basic vehicles and increasing the power/weight ratio for increasing speed.
