Loads on articulation joint (IM-SUS-104)
Last updated on 06 December 2013 11:31
The following assumptions are made:- (a) A symmetrical steering-beam is used, i.e. the 'half-lengths' are equal. (b) Each steering-beam is load-carrying such that the whole weight of the vehicle bodies is supported at each steering-beam centre. (c) The loads are their highest at the end articulation joints.
