Approximate formulae for designing rubber torsion bushes (IM-SUS-052)

The aim of this note is to present approximate formulae for the torsional and radial stiffness properties of rubber torsion bushes. These formulae may be used during preliminary design work to determine rough sizes, so indicating whether it is feasible to use a torsion bush in a particular application.
