A design study for the vertical suspension of a four-wheeled liner freight vehicle (TN-DYN-010)

The vertical suspension design is discussed for a four-wheeled railway vehicle to the following specification: payload = 25 tons unladen body weight = 6 tons maximum = 80 m.p.h. The following design restriction is complied with: change of buffer height on loading £ 2.5 inches.
