Use of tread lubricators in marshalling yards (E-493)
Last updated on 13 December 2013 2:08
This report describes the Rail Lubricator Tests held in the Hull Inward Yard and the Dringhouses Yard, York. The results show that at Hull where only one rail was lubricated there was a small but definite decrease in the wagon rolling resistance due to lubrication of the curved track.
