Eternit' asbestos cement sleepers : static and dynamic loading tests (E-388)

1. "Eternit" Asbestos Cement Sleepers are manufactured and marketed by Eternit S.p.A. (Genoa) of Italy and are used by the Italian State Railways. 2. The sleepers are manufactured from compressed laminated asbestos cement reinforced with steel rods. The former material has a very much higher tensile strength than concrete.
