Performance of hydraulic buffers during impacts between rakes of wagons (E-253)

The design of hydraulic buffers to date has only considered impacts between single wagons. Calculation' has suggested that the performance of hydraulic buffers would be less satisfactory during impacts between rakes of wagons.
