Report E.8 dated 8th January, 1952, described tests on a design of "Seetru" bolt to investigate whether it could be used for fastening chairs (or baseplates) to concrete sleepers. The conclusion then was that the bursting effect on the sleeper due to compression of the rubber sleeve was too high...
