Wagon resistance in marshalling yards (E-197)

With developments in automatic hump marshalling, accurate knowledge of the running characteristics of wagons has become essential for the design of yards. For this reason tests were carried out four years ago at Whitemoor Marshalling Yard during normal working and the results were published in Research Department Report E. 116A.
