Dynamic characteristics of 20 1/2 in O.P. hydraulic buffer (E-223)

An Oleo Pneumatic buffer, 20½" long with modified control atom, mark F, was tested at the Impact Test Site, Toton, between 12th and 18th March, 1959. The stem was modified to give compromise performance with wagons weighing 8 to 24 tons.
