Long welded rails. Recordings taken of rail temperatures and longitudinal rail movements of the long welded rails in Sharnbrook tunnel (E-211)

Report E.202, dated July 1958 summarised recordings taken in Belsize Tunnel, of rail temperatures and longitudinal movements of the long welded rails. Mention was made of similar recordings taken in two other tunnels and the present report deals with one of these, viz. Sharnbrook Tunnel, Northants.
