Philips E.W. process applied to joining rails in long welded track. Fatigue and other tests in sample joints (E-151)

The application of the Philips E.W. method of butt welding rails (for long welded lengths of track) has been developed by the L.M. Region of British Railways and la the course of the development work a considerable number of fatigue and other tests have been made by the Research Department.
