Stresses in bridges. Tests made on bridge underline at 175m. 18ch at Leaton (E-074)

At the request or the Civil Engineer, Western Region, tests were made on a steel underline bridge at Leaton. The bridge is similar to the one at West Rhyn which had experienced a failure of the web of the central main girder, immediately above the bottom flange angle.
