Line of sight operation on shared track (RR-PRJ-82947-GNST4-1)

Line of sight operation must be used on street running tramways and LRT where vehicles are mixed in with other traffic and responding to their moves. It can also be used on reserved track systems to save signalling costs and allow vehicles to bunch and operate at extremely tight headways.
