Pantograph/overhead line simulations for the Class 373 on the East Coast Main Line (RR-DYN-95-153)

Last updated on 20 December 2013 11:51
Calculations have been carried out for twin Class 373 GPU pantographs and for comparison the BR/Brecknell Willis Highspeed pantograph. Two simulation test sites were used, a length of typical open route Mk.3b equipment and a severely graded overbridge arrangement. Predictions covered a range of speeds from 60 - 140 mile/hr.
