Derailment of train 6C28 at Bamfurlong on 2 December 1994 (RR-DYN-95-045)

On 2 December 1994 train 6C28 2007 Warrington to Carnforth, comprising fourteen empty ZEV wagons hauled by locomotive 31235, became derailed on the Springs Branch at Bamfurlong. The incident was caused by the leading right hand wheel of the fourth wagon from the rear (DB 983881) derailing by flange climbing.
