1992 Northeim Train Crash - A Root Cause Analysis

Shortly after midnight on 15th November 1992, a severe train crash was caused by the break off of a buffer from a tool and gear wagon of a freight train. The buffer fell between the rails, tumbled, and then lifted one axle of a following freight wagon off the rails.
