Carbon brake track tests, May 1976 (TM-BS-2)

During May this year, 3 days of carbon brake testing were carried out using Laboratory 4 on the Research & Development Division's test track between Edwalton and Melton Mowbray. Nearly 1 300 km (800 miles) of testing was achieved. The majority of tests were at constant speed, dragging the brake.
