Derailment of train 6K02 at Ouston Junction on 14 Apr 73 (TM-FT-19)

Train 6K02, the 04.30 h from Tyne Dock to Consett, derailed on plain straight track at 05.12 h on Saturday, 14 Apr 73. The train comprised 8 fully fitted 56 ton bogie Iron Ore wagons, fully laden, hauled by class 24 locomotives Nos 5102/5110 and totalled 865 tons approximately.
