Evaluation of BS11 test welds made at Hookagate flash welding depot (TM-MET-33)

During the manufacture of c.w.r. in UIC Wear Resistant Rail, grade 'B' at Hookagate Depot for the Mersey loop and link line, quality control, in the form of bend testing to failure, was carried out on short test pieces (2 x 2'-00") and on welds selected at random from production.
