Waterproofing of bridge decks: 16. Bridges 191 (Fox Lane), 241 (Crouch Lane) and 243 (Church Lane), South East Division, Southern Region (TM-PDU-25)

The concrete deck units for these bridges were waterproofed off site using a sprayed polyurethane membrane, protected by slate filled polyester boards. Spraying presented no problems and a good surface finish was obtained. However, laying the protection was a very laborious process because of the need to "tailor" the boards...
