Effingham Junction fire (TM-PL-5)

A visit was made to Effingham Junction on 29 Nov 73 to investigate the fire which involved 5 Southern Region Electric Multiple Unit vehicles. The coaches were types 4EPB, 4SUB and 4VEP. The 4EPB and 4SUB were originally built before 1940 and have since been refurbished a number of times.
