The intention to produce "a comprehensive laboratory demonstration embodying all the essential features of a full system" was expressed in the Project Plans. Reference has subsequently been made to the construction of a model interlocking, intended to be primarily a development tool, which will also constitute a comprehensive demonstration facility.
