A fatigue-orientated analysis of strains measured from two crossings of different design installed at Watford Junction (TM-STM-16)

Strain measurements have been made on two designs of cast manganese steel crossing, one manufactured by Edgar Allen, the other of a French design used by SNCF, both installed at Watford Junction. This memorandum considers the results of this work with respect to the likely fatigue performance of the structures.
