A comparison of the forces at a dipped joint due to A.P.T. wheels and those of a conventional locomotive (TM-TS-99)

The program outlined in T & S 76 has been extended so that the effects of resilient wheelsets can be studied. Body and intermediate masses such as bogie frames can also be incorporated. The modified program has been used to calculate the forces produced by two proposed designs of A.P.T.
