Laboratory 21 active lateral hydraulic suspension system (VDYN 136)

A servo-hydraulic active lateral suspension has been fitted to Laboratory Coach 21 to demonstrate the benefits of active suspensions. Lab 21 is a prototype Mk III restaurant car and the unmodified passive suspension provides a similar level of ride to that currently experienced on most of BR's main line services.
