Derailment of 6Z71, 18-10 hrs Spalding/Carlisle at Ormside on 27 Dec 72 (TM-FT-005)

The leading wheelset of the sixth Vanfit (B753484) in the above train, consisting of loco 192 and 56 fully vacuum fitted vanfits, became derailed at 273 miles 1172 yards to the right hand side on the Down line and came to rest at 274 miles 1684 yards.
