Rail side-wear in relation to derailments (IM-FT-013)

The Track Design Sub-Committee asked the Research Department to give their considered interim advice on the amount of rail side cut which could be safely allowed (T.D.S.C. Minute 2816, 26 Aug 71) in relation to derailment proneness.
