The effect of grinding wheel type on bond adhesion strength (LR-MT-013(3))

Erico Europa BV claim that the use of resin bonded grinding wheels for rail preparation prior to bond attachment can have a detrimental effect on the strength of the bonded joint. This is reported to be due to the resin bonded wheels leaving a residual deposit on the rail surface.
