Inspection of reinforced concrete sleepers: Feasibility study into the inspection of concrete sleepers using the acoustic resonance technique (LR-IM-034)

Last updated on 13 August 2014 10:39
This paper describes a method to assess the probability that a sleeper is of the correct thickness. The resonances are set up within a resonating sleeper using a piezoelectric transducer. The frequency of the resonances are believed to be determined by the dimensions of the supporting object (i.e the sleepers).
