Semi-automatic welding consumable evaluation of welding alloys BM-O batch no 187136 (LR-MF-011)

The current situation for repairs to carbon/manganese plain rail using semi-automatic welding consumables is that there are two consumables at present available on contract. These are:- (1) BR36(Murex) (2) BE105(Benkler) Murex Murair BR36 is the preferred wire because of its properties, ease of deposition and welder acceptability.
