Sleep and fitness for duty - one suggestion for a staff “rule of thumb”

The table outlines one suggestion for sleep/ fitness for duty guidelines which could be incorporated into booking-on procedures and e.g. staff pocket-cards, to help staff and their managers decide whether they have obtained sufficient recent sleep to be likely to work the whole of their shift safely.
