A review of the literature on social, non-technical deterrents for vandalism in the rail industry

This report reviews the international and national literature on vandalism and graffiti, with a specific focus on social, non-technical deterrents. Throughout this report, we emphasise the need for multi-disciplinary and collaborative interventions to counter the heterogeneous and little understood problem of graffiti and vandalism.
