Different roles, different perspectives: perceptions about the purpose of training needs analysis

This paper describes the experience of a training needs analysis (TNA) from the perspective of a group of managers within a large bus transport company, and two external groups of training managers and training consultants. Qualitative grounded theory is used to understand the differing perceptions of the TNA process.
