Ergonomics assessment of lever operation in mechanical signalling

This chapter explores the ergonomics issues associated with the operation of levers in mechanical signalling. The operation of levers can result in injury and is a health and safety concern. This study explored the forces involved when signallers operate levers and what postures they adopt in doing so.
