Mobile anti-icing system for 3 kV DC overhead contact wires (SMAF)

A new mobile automatic Anti-icing system for 3 kV DC overhead contact wires (SMAF) was designed, realized and tested from ONAE, the National Workshop for Electric Equipment of Bologna (Rete Ferroviaria Italiana SpA). The equipment was installed on the Bologna – Pistoia traction power line and tested on site.
